What is your life verse?

Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven – Matthew 6:10

What is your favorite book, movie, and food and why?

My favorite book is ‘The Importance of Being Earnest’ by Oscar Wilde. I think it’s so clever and ridiculous at the same time! My favorite movie is ‘The Shawshank Redemption’ because I very much admired Andy’s patience and perseverance. And I LOVE IT when Morgan Freeman narrates something. My favorite food is Korean food. I can eat fluffy rice for breakfast, lunch and dinner for 365 days and then some.

If you could be in any place at this time in given time of history, where, with who, and why?

1890 in Auvers, France with my sister. So we can tell Vincent (van Gogh) that he is more than just a painter! And perhaps as a token of our friendship, he will gift us his painting of Les Alpilles. And, Wikipedia will read that Vincent died at the age of very very old finding joy in his spiritual walk and in himself. And the Met will hold a painting called, ‘Choi, Party of Two’…

My name means ‘Abundant Forest’ and I’ve written about that in pretty much every Personal Statement prior to graduation. And I like to say it because it sounds like it could be a name of a character from ‘Dances with Wolves’

What is your life verse?

Different verses have been particularly relevant at different times or
phases of my life.
Lately, the following has been very helpful:
Philippians  4-7
Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Let your
gentleness be evident to all. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious
about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with
thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God,
which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your
minds in Christ Jesus.

What is your favorite book, movie, and food and why?

Godfather I and II NOT III.  Why? I am not sure.
it is just an awesome movie.  Favorite Book:  Bible (ha
ha..seriously. but also loved Sherlock Holmes growing up).  Favorite
Food:  Nothing beats a good steak!!  Medium rare.

If you could be in any place at this time in given time of history, where, with who, and why?

First, with Jesus when he raised Lazarus.  so cool. Second, I
would like to have been with Abraham when God commanded him to
sacrifice his only son, Isaac.  I always wondered what was going
through his mind.

I can recite the names of all the 27 kings of Chosun Dynasty of

Well, if you’re going to back me into a corner I’ll pick 1 Corinthians 10:24 today.

What is your favorite book, movie, and food and why?

Book: Lord of the Rings trilogy, Catch 22
Movie: Star Trek II – IV (best movie trilogy ever. Yea Star Wars, I’m looking at you)
Food: Any kind of meat as long as it is cooked deliciously.

if you could be in any place at this time in given time of history, where, with who, and why?:

I’d say around the turn of the 20th century I’d like to hang out with Teddy Roosevelt. From sitting around and listening to stories about the Spanish American war to trust-busting the oil barrons, just seems like a pretty cool guy to hang out with. Also, you could probably get a great steak and a sasparilla for a nickel or something. Amazing.

Please also include one interesting fact about yourself:

I am fantastic with the yo-yo. It scares my wife what a dork I am.
